Episode 19: The Journey to Embodiment
In this episode, your host, Eric Pothen, chats with Ellie Roscher, author of “The Embodied Path”, about the journey to embodiment: returning home to our bodies. We talk about the importance of honoring our body’s experience and the story it has to tell. We spend some time talking about Ellie’s book, how we can honor our body’s experience, and the importance of doing “the work.” Ellie leaves listeners with some prompts to think about how they can begin this journey toward embodiment.
About Ellie Roscher:
Ellie Roscher is the author of The Embodied Path, 12 Tiny Things, Play Like a Girl and How Coffee Saved My Life. Her writing appears in the Baltimore Review, Inscape Magazine, Bearings and elsewhere. Ellie also founded and facilitates Plum, a supportive online community for folks journeying toward deeper embodiment together. She teaches writing at The Loft Literary Center and The Minnesota Writing Project and yoga at Up and Blooma. Through curious inquiry, her work accompanies people to a more centered, whole, and embodied self. Ellie holds an MFA in Writing from Sarah Lawrence College and an MA in Theology from Luther Seminary.

Episode 18: Navigating the Body Postpartum
In this episode, I chat with Liz Krueger, curator for lululemon, and most importantly, a mother, about how to navigate the body postpartum. In this episode, Liz shares her story of navgating her body and body image postpartum and what she learned on that journey. Liz shares the importance of releasing expectations mothers may have on their bodies after giving birth. We also address the importance of honoring our bodies for what they are and celebrating the person that lives within. In this episode, Liz beautifully encourages women to be gentle in the process of navigating the body postpartum and to know that their experience is real, valid, and their own.

Liz Krueger is a creator, connector, and curator of all things community, based in Minneapolis with her husband Dan and their 2 year old daughter, Collins. Liz is originally from southern Minnesota and graduated from Marquette University in Broadcasting. Liz is currently the curator for the 2nd of its kind, lululemon experiential store. Liz has never been one to follow what's conventional, but to follow where the happiness takes her. The simple things are what make her tick. If you asked what she does for a living, it wouldn't be her job title. Instead, you would get her purpose statement: “I am an inspirational hype girl and my purpose is to bring the realness, joy, and attention to all things epic in this life!”

Episode 17: Helping Children Become Intuitive Eaters
In this episode, Eric chats with Jenn Messina, Registered Dietitian, about how to help children become intuitive eaters. Eric and Jenn spend time talking about how parents can help raise their children in anti-diet households and become aware of the way that they talk about food around their children and how it can affect the relationship children have with food and their bodies. Jenn empowers listeners to take action and reflect on the ways they can help all youth develop a better relationship with food and their bodies, setting them up for a better chance of maintaining that relationship throughout their lives.
